Fishing...it can be really fun, or really frustrating! In a previous post I talked about how much Jaden likes to fish. That would be because Jaden actually catches fish.

My girls...fishing off the dock

Jaden, do you think you will catch anything?

A girl and her fish...she is becoming a pro!

Just don't let the fish touch me...

Maybe one of these days Jaden will share her fishing secrets with Aunt Niece...

Addie's Swimming Lessons

Now it is Addie's turn on the blog.
She also took swimming lessons at the Mustang Pool. She is very comfortable in the water... as long as she can keep her head above water. She will go underwater if someone is holding her in Nanny and Papa's pool. The lake is another subject all together. Addie says "it is too scary down there..." about going underwater in the lake!
OK Addie.... it's your turn!
Unlike Jaden, Addie is not as excited about going underwater! Now jumping up and down in the water... Addie is an expert at that.

A little "Alligator Crawl". Addie told me later that this was her favorite part of swimming lessons. I asked her why, and she said "because I get to show my alligator teeth!" I think she just likes to make silly faces.
Great Job Addie Pattie!

Swimming Lessons and the Big Slide!

Just thought I would share a few pics of Jaden at Swimming Lessons. Jaden is really starting to enjoy swimming. This is the first summer that Jaden has not been afraid to go underwater. She has been swimming in Nanny and Papa's pool without a life jacket, and is trying desperately to dive down and touch the bottom. She is just too skinny to get herself down to the bottom.

At the end of the two week session Jaden's class had the opportunity to go down the water slide. Jaden and I have talked several times about the slide. I told her it would be really fun, but she always said she was too afraid to go down this slide. I think she was always afraid of going underwater. At first, Paula and I thought that Jaden would not go with the rest of her class. We were both surprised to see her climb the stairs.

Of course I grabbed my camera and waited for her at the bottom of the slide!

Jaden said she would love to go down this slide again. Paula told her that now she is ready to go to White Water and go down their slides. Jaden, being ever cautious, is not convinced. I know that she is more than ready!

Good Swimming Jaden!

All About Addie!

Since I posted about Jaden yesterday, today is going to be all about Addie!

Addie is so funny and opinionated all at the same time! It is very common to hear her say "Well..." followed by what she thinks. Her latest new word is "Actually...". She may only be 3, but she thinks she is older.

Addie on her 3rd Birthday! I actually got her to look at the camera for once...

This may be one of my favorite pictures of Addie. If you really want to see what Addie is thinking or feeling, just look into her eyes.

Just hangin' out at a T-Ball Game

Wearing Jaden's Helmet. Addie says she wants to be a T-Ball Girl too....

Niece...can I wear your sunglasses?

Aunt Niece: "Addie, did you blow that bubble all by yourself?"

Addie: "Yes.."

Aunt Niece: "Did Mommy help you?"

Addie: giggles....."Yes!"

Having a piece of her Birthday Cake

Love you Addie Pattie!

A Girl and Her First Trophy!!

Monday night Jaden's T-Ball Team, the Cheetah Girls received a trophy for participating in the Mustang Summer League. They won 4 games, and became quite the little team. The last game they lost in the bottom of the last inning by one run, and Jaden team was only playing with 8 girls! Pretty Good if you ask me. Her team came in 4th out of 6 teams.

Jaden receiving her trophy

I think she was pretty happy to get a trophy!

Hey Aunt Niece, see my trophy!

My Big Girl and her First Trophy

Jaden- Your Aunt Niece is very proud of you! Go #5!

Now we just have to wait for Fall Ball to start!

4th of July

I think the girls really enjoyed this 4th of July! It was really fun, if I do say so myself.

Papa's New Boat! We are all very happy about this purchase!

Jaden and her sparkler! She really enjoyed the Fireworks.

Addie, well...not so much! She doesn't care for loud noises.

I think we all had fun, except for maybe Paula and her toothache. But after a quick trip to the dentist back in OKC on Saturday her weekend was better.

Jaden and I went fishing while Nanny and Paula drove back from OKC.

Of course Jaden caught three fish......and Aunt Niece caught none!

Paula and Jake took the girls to Eufaula Sunday-Tuesday. Jaden tells me she caught two catfish, and that her daddy caught a bunch of fish.

Until next time.......
